Appeal for witnesses after woman left with serious injuries

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 62-year-old woman suffered serious injuries in a crash on the Morrisons car park park on Westway.

The woman from Barnsley was taken to hospital with serious injuries when a gold Audi Q3 carhit her at around 1.40pm on Thursday, October 22.

A police spokesperson said: "Did you witness the collision? Please call 101 quoting incident number 551 of 22 October 2015."

The problem we have is, there are no speed limits in these carparks. People go whizzing around them like idiots. I use Tesco at Stairfoot and if I want (as there are no speed limit) I can do 40 mph if I want. No wonder accidents happen. Because people can't use their brains,there should be mandatory 5 mph signs in all carparks.
