Monday August 24 2015

A WOMAN with cancer has praised a Barnsley hairdressers for making her feel human again.

Michelle Kaplan, of Gawber Road, is having chemotherapy to treat Non Hodgkin Lymphoma.

She decided to make an appointment at Leslie Frances Hairdressing on Eldon Street when her hair started to fall out.

Denise from the salon kindly offered to cut Michelle's hair free of charge.

Michelle said: "She took me up to the salon's training room where I felt at ease. The second time I went I had more confidence and had my hair done in the salon.

"They were very kind and always made me feel welcome with a cup of coffee. It was lovely to feel human again and be treated with respect."

Staff at Leslie Francis have wished Michelle "all the best on the road to recovery".

I was a client at Leslie Francis over 40 years ago.The staff then were second to none, the client was their priority. How lovely to know their standards are still the same.Well done.
