Town centre bar to reopen with new name and look

Wednesday August 5 2015

A BARNSLEY town centre bar will reopen on Friday with a new name and look.

Durty O'Dwyers on Market Hill will reopen at 7pm as Annie Murray's Bar after a refurbishment.

It was taken on by Paul McNicholas and partner Becky Fevers in autumn 2014.

Paul decided to name the bar after his great grandmother.

He said: "The bar offers an authentic Irish welcome to all of its customers."

Annie Murray's Bar has undergone extensive work over the past few months with the frontage painted a distinctive cherry red.

Hope it is a decent place to go to in Barnsley, some places are not really that great.
