A BARNSLEY business is working with a local college to encourage pupils to get more involved in their community.

Provide Education, an education recruitment company, is supporting Darton College with its Darton Voice project.

Pupils can get involved by doing things such as litter-picking or running coffee mornings for older people.

The firm recently presented the college with a cheque for £280 to provide badges for the project.

Senior education consultant, Darren Artley, whose son attends the college, said: “We fully support this project because it gives children a sense of pride and purpose. Barnsley is all about community and this is a great way of showing it.”
