Application for a licence to allow live music on former car park

Tuesday July 14 2015

A MAN who was forced to close down a car park on Old Mill Lane wants to reopen it for live music at the weekend.

Last month Wayne Hadfield was ordered by the council to close down the car park next to Barnsley College in Old Mill Lane.

But he has now changed his plans and applied for a licence to allow live music outdoors on Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 11pm.

Wayne has also applied for the sale of alcohol to be consumed on the premises from 11am to 11pm.

WABers what do you think? Comment in the box below.

What about the amount of families that live really close to the area? there are a lot of people with young children it will effect and cause noise pollution and litter. Not a good idea at all

I live next to there and there is already a petition and numerous people written into council....I fully supported the car park idea....but this is stupid....they were concerned about the safety of cars coming out on to Old Mill Lane..I think it would only a matter of time before some one gets knocked down. There is no way the council will pass it....too much police resources will be needed ...all day drinking too...no chance

He left passive aggressive signs moaning about the council when they closed his unlawful and therefore uninsured car park "business" and now wants permission

One scam to another wonder what the next will be

Hmmmm yeah stroll on there Del Boy I'm sure this time next year you'll be a millionaire
