THE OLD public toilets in Cudworth could be transformed into a shop.

A planning application was submitted to knock down the site on Barnsley Road to make room for a shop.

The results of a public consultation are currently being looked at by Barnsley Council.

A spokesman said: "The application is in its assessment stage but there should be a decision by June 8."

Are these public toilets currently in use ? If not, fair play, knock them down.
But far too often these days, public toilets are closed or demolished for no apparent reason; thus increasing the revenue "robbed" from poor unfortunates who happen to be caught short, and have no "legal" place to relieve themselves.
