Freedom Riders Mark Anniversary With Protest

Thursday April 2 2015

A PROTEST group campaigning for free train travel for pensioners turned out in force to mark their first anniversary.

The so-called Freedom Riders celebrated 12 months of campaigning on Tuesday by holding another protest at Barnsley Interchange.

The 100-strong group made their way through the transport hub, rallied at the front of the bus station and then marched through town.

Do they have your backing?
