Ice Warning In Place For South Yorkshire
Friday January 23 2015
THE Met Office has warned Barnsley residents to be wary of icy stretches from tonight and into Saturday morning.
Outbreaks of rain will clear before temperatures plummet, quickly allowing ice to develop on untreated surfaces.
A spokesperson said: "The public should be aware of the risk of icy stretches on roads and pavements."
However, the warning only remains in place until 10am tomorrow, before what remains of Wednesday's snow melts over the weekend with temperatures of 8C expected.
