Town Centre Roads To Be Resurfaced - A WAB Guide

A NUMBER of town centre roads are set for resurfacing.

It will take place as follows:

Eastgate, from February 3 for approximately six weeks. Diversion route: Church Street/Regent Street, one way restriction revoked.

Market Hill from February 18 for approximately six weeks. Diversion route: Old Mill Lane/Church Street/Shambles Street.

Royal Street, from March 8 for approximately three weeks. One way restriction will be revoked.

Eldon Street, from March 9 for approximately two weeks. Diversion route: Old Mill Lane/Church Street/Shambles Street.

Regent Street, from March 24 for approximately one week. Diversion route: Church Street/Shambles Street/St Mary's Place/Church Lane/Old Mill Lane/Harborough Hill Road/Eldon Street North.

Work has been taking place since the end of June 2014, with Eldon Street, Regent Street South, Hanson Street, Royal Street, Regent Street, Eastgate, Market Hill and Church Street's footpath undergoing improvements.

Pedestrian access to properties and businesses adjacent to the works will be maintained throughout the duration, although vehicular access may be restricted at times as work is carried out across business frontages.

Hope its not council workers doing the resurfacing,if it is the roads will be closed for a lot longer than planed.Nowt but a bunch of over paid lazy b------s council workers.

what ever happened to the all singing all dancing resurfacing machine that bmbc bought, was supposed to just drive over rip up old and relay new. i bet its never been out of its box.
