Barnsley Katy Perry Tribute Does Charity Night
Monday April 23 2012
A LOCAL Katy Perry tribute act is top of the bill at a charity fundraiser being held in Barnsley this week.
Danielle Williams - who also appeared on ITV's Take Me Out dating show - will be performing in Latinos Restaurant on April 25 (Tuesday) as part of the charity night which aims to raise £1,000 for Ward 32 at Barnsley Hospital.
Kate Sahan, restaurant co-owner, said she organised the night after her dad Bill Gallagher had to have emergency surgery to remove cancer from his bowel.
Kate said: “The staff on the ward were amazing to my dad. Added to that, they offered great comfort and support to us, his family.
“We wanted to say thank you to them for their care and support and decided that a charity night at the restaurant would be the perfect way to do this. We have supported local charities before by offering vouchers to raffle, but we have never attempted to organise anything this big before.
“We want to raise as much money as possible on the night to provide the team on ward 32 with more oxygen monitors.”
Tickets cost £17.50 per person and include a meal.
