Anti-Social Problem Highlighted By Local Residents

RESIDENTS have described watching youngsters as young as 13 taking drugs using plastic pop bottles and bags.

Correspondence shared by MP Dan Jarvis has shown how people complain they're facing a constant battle with youths gathering behind shops on Sheffield Road to drink, take drugs and be violent.

Elderly residents in the area described feeling 'unsettled' by the behaviour.

Other concerns were raised about the youngsters urinating and vomiting.

Some people called for the Smokey Sam's shop, which was at the centre of a row over legal highs, to be closed down.

Mr Jarvis, who has campaigned to ban legal highs, said: "Anti-social behaviour is generally the number one issue people come to me about.

"Working with local councillors and the police, I shall try to ensure we have neighbourhoods we can be proud of."

They are only having a few lungs its not like they are injecting into their eyeballs and a stoned person is less anti social than a drunken person

I was just pointing out facts a mean it just sounds painfully pathetic how it is worded (taking drugs using plastic pop bottle and bags) do they not know what a bong is and that its only for smoking weed or do they think its for glue or heroine it just sounds silly its burgling smack heads with the needles that should be dealt with not a few kids having bongs

Shutting down the youth service will come back to haunt those in power, then it will be too late!
