Police Step Up Search For On-The-Run Man

POLICE have today closed parts of Thurnscoe as they step up their search for a man who is on the run.

There have been two confirmed sightings of Steven Watkins, the 29-year-old who is wanted in connection to a serious assault which resulted in a 29-year-old man suffering stab wounds.

The first sighting was at around 1.10pm in Station Road and then a further sighting was reported at 2.25pm in Tudor Street.

Police are urging anyone who has seen Watkins, or knows where he might be, to call 101, quoting incident number 510 of November 13. 

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I went to school with him he has not changed at all he was trouble then it was just a matter of time before he did something stupid when he gets caught I hope they throw the book at him and keep him off are streets he is a menace and he can't do any good just more destruction to are community
