Woman Cuts Locks For Children's Cancer Charity

Monday November 24 2014

A MARKET trader has had a whopping 24 inches of hair chopped off for a charity which makes wigs for children with cancer.

Nancy Wainwright had been growing her hair for ten years but decided the time was right to go for the chop.

The 55-year-old has never suffered from cancer but wanted to donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust so it was not wasted.

Nancy, who works on Amy's Cards on the semi-open market, said: "I couldn't quite sit on my hair but it was down to my bottom.

"It's a good thing to do and it's something quite close to people's hearts. I can't believe how lovely everyone has been."
