THE Reds fought back in the Yorkshire derby against Bradford City to register back-to-back league wins on Sunday.

High-flying Bradford took the lead inside the opening minute at Oakwell through Jason Kennedy, who slotted past Ross Turnbull after a clever ball from Mark Yeates.

Pressure eventually paid off and the Reds were level after the half-time interval thanks to Rory McArdle's own goal, who headed Conor Hourihane's free-kick past his own keeper.

Striker Sam Winnall - who had earlier hit the crossbar - put Barnsley in front just after the hour mark, before Kane Hemmings sealed the points late on.

The Reds' 3-1 triumph is their first win at Oakwell since August 23.

Manager Danny Wilson said: "We did everything we've been promising to do for the last few games.

"You need a certain type of character to get back into it having gone behind early on. You need a mental strength to take your preparations onto the pitch and we did."

Barnsley - who are now up to 13th in the League One standings - sit just three points away from a play-off place having endured a tough start to the season.
