Barnsley School Issues 'Stranger Danger' Warning

A BARNSLEY school has warned its children about 'stranger danger' following an incident in a park.

Upperwood Academy in Darfield issued a letter to parents on Thursday urging them to speak to their children about the importance of being aware of strangers.

Headteacher Alistair Budd said: "I can confirm that an incident was reported to the police and I have spoken to all the children in a special assembly."

Should be taught at home by parents never to talk to strangers or to go anywhere with strangers just to be on safe side that what I have done with both of mine anyways

Darfield primary academy sent out a letter this week, regarding the incident. Parents should always be vigilant to to dangers of leaving their children unsupervised, but it is equally important to educate the children to keep themselves safe.
