MORE Barnsley fans could be arrested once police officers finish trawling through hours of CCTV footage.

Five fans were arrested as trouble erupted before and after the game at Port Vale last weekend.

Trouble started before kick-off when rival fans clashed at a pub in Burslem, Stoke on Trent.

An 18-year-old Barnsley man and a 43-year-old, from Hemsworth were arrested for affray, while a 27-year-old, from South Kirkby, and a 25-year-old, from Barnsley, were arrested for disorder.

After the game police used pepper spray as supporters clashed once again. Rival fans threw missiles and one police officer was injured.

A fifth man, 20, from Barnsley, was later arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and public order offences.

Police were later called to a separate incident at Stoke's railway station as departing Barnsley fans fought with Stoke City supporters coming back from London where their team played QPR.

Chief Inspector Neil Hulme, from Staffordshire Police, confirmed officers are now scanning CCTV images captured on body-cams as well as on cameras at Vale Park and Burslem town centre.

He added: "We're disappointed by the actions of a significant number of so-called fans, who attended the fixture intent on disorder."

People who behave as above should be ashamed. It is pack mentality and really yoh all need to grow up or think how would you like it if your family got hurt due to your sad behaviour?
