Council Responds To Football Pitch Complaints

Friday September 19 2014

THE council has responded to complaints about overgrown football pitches in Barnsley.

A spokesperson said: "Following concerns raised about the quality of Barnsley Council-owned football pitches, the council wishes to clarify its position.

"Present weather conditions are ideal for grass growth so some of the pitches are currently looking overgrown."

However, the council's neighbourhood services team has ensured that all the council-owned pitches will be cut before this weekend’s matches.

What a load of balls. That like wrong kind of snow and leaves on the tracks.

The fact is the council have cut back so much they just don't have the staff to do the work load.
