Plans To Demolish Pub

Thursday August 28 2014

A PUB may be demolished to make way for 20 houses.

The Sturdy Lads, in Monk Bretton, is currently closed and boarded up.

An outline application has been submitted to the council to demolish the pub, on the junction of Longridge Road and Fishdam Lane, to make way for five blocks of town houses and car parking.

Submitted by Mason Horner Ltd, it states there are other establishments close by with similar offerings.

It adds: "The general amenity of the area will be improved by the loss of the potentially noisy and disruptive activities within the public house and associated car parking."

As long as there built for our own then get them built but I don't agree building them for scrounging immigrants that has made our country go tits up and our own r now suffering for them, such a shame seeing a good pub with lots of Pertenhall go to waste :(
