A WEATHER warning has been issued for heavy, thundery showers by the Met Office.

Issued at 10.45am this morning, the yellow warning is in place until 11pm and has advised the public to be aware of the risk of localised flooding.

Heavy, slow-moving showers are expected.

"Rainfall totals of 20-30mm are likely in a short space of time, perhaps exceeding 50mm locally."

Why is everyone surprised we were warned in plenty of time, just have common sense and prepare. Think about past years and learn from them.
