A ROBBER threatened a Barnsley shop's staff with a gun before making off with the till in an afternoon raid on Friday.

A man entered a convenience store in Lorne Road, Thurnscoe, just before 2pm and threatened staff with a firearm before getting away.

He is described as white, in his 20s and was wearing a distinctive, oversized camouflage coat.

Anyone with information should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 566 of August 1.
