E-Fit Released After Attempted Robbery

POLICE investigating the attempted robbery of a woman in Barnsley have issued an e-fit and are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

At around 11.45pm on June 24, it is reported that a 20-year-old woman was walking her dog from Shield Avenue, Worsbrough, towards Vernon Road.

It is believed that three men approached the woman and one allegedly threatened her with a knife, demanding she give them her dog.

The dog barked at the men, scaring them away. The woman was not injured during the incident.

Despite extensive enquiries to locate the three men, no arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1279 of June 24, 2014.

Now i know what happened to our dog that went missing over a week ago from shield avenue,gypsys are also begging neighbours round worsbrough to sell them their dogs,they want nailing for it,would they go steal a kid,so why do they do it to dogs

No one and nothing is safe now days no one can have anything with out some wanting it instead of goin out and earning a bob or two its ridiculous
