Youngster Cuts Hair Off For Cancer Sufferers

Wednesday July 23 2014

A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD girl from Barnsley has donated her hair to charity - because she wanted to help little girls who had lost theirs to cancer.

Lily Grace Ford, from Cudworth, wanted to have her hair cut after she watched a video of an American girl donating hers to a cancer charity who make wigs for kids who are suffering from the disease.

Lily, who is now proudly showing off her new shorter do, will now give the hair to the Little Princess Trust.

Mum Sara Ford said: "I was a bit reluctant to let her have a lot cut off but she was adamant that she wanted to help little girls who didn't have any hair.

"We're bursting with pride. She's been so kind and thoughtful."
