Police Appeal After Fatal Crash

THE police have appealed for witnesses after a 69-year-old woman died following a collision in Barnsley on Monday.

Police were called at around 12.20pm to Royston Lane, at the junction with Church Hill, following reports that a silver Audi A4 had collided with a wall.

The 69-year-old woman, a passenger in the Audi, sustained fatal injuries. The driver, a 70-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. His condition is described as stable.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact 101 quoting incident number 447 of July 21, 2014. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The gentleman involved hasn't died Sarah, he's on the mend. I live around the corner from them.

He is still in hospital at the moment. still awaiting some results, but doing well.
