A BARNSLEY teenager is celebrating after winning gold in the European Youth Ten-pin Bowling Championships for the second year running.

Barnsley College student Keira Reay, 18 of Carlton Road, Athersley, faced competition from other top European competitors as she took part in singles, doubles and team categories at the event in Denmark.

She won a medal in all categories, including gold in the All-Events category and silver in the Masters, replicating her success in the same championship last year.

Amazing achievement. To win any medal in the European championships is fantastic but to win as many as she has is incredible. Well done Kiera. Your country is proud of you
