Drugs Stolen From Ambulance

Wednesday April 23 2014

POLICE are searching for a potentially lethal drug which was stolen from an ambulance in Barnsley.

A vial of Epinephrine, which can be fatal if it is injected or ingested, was taken from an ambulance on Queens Drive on Tuesday evening.

The drug is in a long purple box with 'Epinephrine' on its side.

Five vials were initially stolen and although four have been located, there is still one missing.

Police have urged anyone who finds it to either ring 101, hand it in at any police station or take it to the hospital's A&E department on Gawber Road.

It's not about getting one more smack head off street, it's the fact that some foolish self-centred waist of space has taken a drug that would be Intended to save the life of a human ! It could even be a family member that it's needed for! Do these idiots realized the dangers of stealing somthing so important

It isn't about the fact that they have taken the drug Lisa its the dangers the drug brings.

If they do find the person who has the drug they will only destroy the drug as it will not have been kept in a sterile environment etc so they will no longer be allowed to administer it.

The fact someone would steal something intened to save someone's life is ridiculous! I work in pharmacy I know how dangerous adrenaline is, when it's used inappropriately! The boxes they are describing are actually syringes for immediate use on someone who is suffinging from something like an anaphylactic shock. It is disgusting that people would steal a potential life saving treatment from of all place a ambulance!
