Hope this is not another example of older drivers been unable to predict road conditions... Myself and my husband have been bikers and its unreal how car drivers just do not see bikes!!! I am also a car driver and always look for bikes but that's because we have been bikers and it makes you more aware.. hope he has a quick recovery.... the car driver bless him will have been shook up too but that's why people need to be aware especially in summer time when bikes are on the roads...

Biker suffered cuts and bruises, and a dislocated thumb. His biker gear saved him from more serious injuries.
Family member.

This is a good example of why to wear protective gear when out on a bike.

Glad to hear he's OK, W. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

I am not blaming anyone or saying any party was to blame i dont know what happened but lets not forget that bikers also have an obligation to ride how they have been taught and that includes not assuming that the speed limit is a target and anticipating danger ahead for themselves and relying on everyone else to do it for them, yes bikers are vulnerable road users but so many of them just do not realise it.

No point jumping to conclusion until the investigations are complete as a biker for over 30 years and an advanced rider there are many factors to what happened diver/rider error, road conditions or mechanical fault. Yes most bikers are very aware of the dangers and risks of motorcycles and other road users and other road users are the biggest danger to a biker as their actions are out of our control.

Get well soon pal hope you have a speedy recovery.
