Man On The Run After Being Sentenced For Manslaughter

POLICE have issued an appeal to help trace a Barnsley man who was found guilty of the manslaughter of his son.

Shaun Kenny Stewart, 53, was found guilty at Sheffield Crown Court on March 12 and sentenced in his absence to five years in prison.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and, despite extensive attempts by police to find him, he has not been seen or heard from since.

Stewart went to Tyers Hall Pumping Station with his son, Brent Campbell, where their attempts to disconnect live power lines resulted in the 29-year-old being electrocuted.

He is described as 5ft 7ins tall and of slim build. He has short brown hair and tattoos, including a Chinese design on his left forearm, a tattoo that says 'Luv' on his left thumb, and one that says 'Love' on his right thumb.

He is known to have links in the Barnsley area and lived in Lord Street, Hoyle Mill, before going on the run.
