'No Fear' For Barnsley Boss Ahead Of Daunting Trip

BARNSLEY boss Danny Wilson has insisted his players are up for the fight ahead of tonight's clash against play-off hopefuls Reading.

Wilson, whose side remain bottom of the Championship after Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Bournemouth, now face two long away trips to the promotion chasers and fellow strugglers Yeovil.

"The worry or the fear is not there," he said. "We genuinely believe we can survive. We won't give up the ghost. It's not something that fazes us and we've got to look forward to the challenge."

Wilson also admitted that he is looking in the loan market but conceded it would be difficult to bring experienced players in.

Fans have called on the club to bring in a central defender after injuries to Martin Cranie and Peter Ramage.

"We would never bring anyone in for the sake of it and, at the moment, we don't feel there is anyone out there who is better than what we have got," Wilson added.

"I believe in Lewin Nyatanga and Jean-Yves M'voto and hopefully they will get better as the games go on."

Wilson is deluded.

They'll need 10 points on last day of season n he'd still be saying there's hope Reds can stay up! It's a joke.

Spot on. He's in charge of a sinking ship and spouts constant drivel.

No @guy. I thought the spat between you Richard and Steveo was a good debate. No idea why it was deleted. Something must have upset the applecart, but I didn't see anything wrong?
