Police Diverting Traffic After Road Accident

Tuesday February 21 2012

POLICE are on the scene diverting traffic after an accident that has left Park Road closed in both directions.

The accident - involving three vehicles - happened at around 7am this morning. Park Road (A61) is now closed in both directions near the B6100 West Street junction, because of the accident.

UPDATE: Our WABers on Facebook tell the road is closed from top of Worsbrough Road to Button Mill with traffic being diverted down Worsbrough Road.

Turning left from West street towards button mill is fine. The trouble is turning right up towards the cutting edge...cars turning left get in the way of your view to button mill so you can't see that way, traffic filtering to turn into west street never give way (not that they should, they have right of way)...in all it's a bad junction. Needs lights!
