Reds Beaten By Dominant Leicester

THE Reds missed the chance to move out of the relegation zone after losing 3-0 to table-topping Leicester last night.

Saturday's win against promotion-chasing Nottingham Forest saw Barnsley record their first back-to-back home wins in almost a year, so the Reds went into the match full of confidence.

However Leicester, who now find themselves eight points clear at the top of the table, extended their unbeaten run to 15 games thanks to a Jamie Vardy double and a Danny Drinkwater strike.

Barnsley were comprehensively beaten and remain 23rd in the table, two points adrift of safety.

Danny Wilson said: "Leicester are the best team in this division by a country mile. They're class, so we won't cry too much over this one.

"The goals were poor from our point of view, but we've got three points out of the last two and I don't think anyone would have given us any points before."

Next up for the Reds is a trip to Watford on Saturday.

Charlton have 5 games in hand, so it's doubtful it'll leave Barnsley only 2 points adrift of safety. One of them games in hand is against the Reds, but Reds away record is terrible.
