Biker Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries After Barnsley Collision

POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in Barnsley on Friday evening.

At around 6.45pm on Friday, March 7, a 34-year-old man was riding a blue Honda along Royston Road in Cudworth when it appears he was involved in a collision and thrown from his vehicle.

The man, from Notton, Wakefield, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Police wish to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, as it remains unclear as to the circumstances of the collision.

Police are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a light-coloured car that was on Royston Road, being driven towards Cudworth, around the time of the incident.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, should call South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 983 of March 7, 2014.
