THE Michelin Man visited Barnsley College on Wednesday (Feb 15) to speak to students working on the tyre company’s latest road safety project.

Polish speaking students have been asked to provide the voices for an educational video to teach young people in Poland about road safety.

This commission came from a partnership with local puppeteer Steve Wright.

Steve, of the Puppet Broadcasting Company was asked by Michelin to translate his videos about road safety, which he has created using his puppets, into five different languages; Polish is the first language.

This first video will be distributed to Polish schools and Colleges and it is hoped that a link will be forged between a Polish college and Barnsley College in order for the students to receive feedback.
