TOMASZ Cywka, Danny Rose, Brek Shea and Dale Jennings all got on the score sheet as the Reds hit four past Dundalk.

Having won his first game since returning to Oakwell with a 2-0 win against Blackpool last weekend, boss Danny Wilson was impressed with his side's 4-1 friendly win in Ireland on Friday night.

Without league commitments due to their third-round FA Cup exit, Wilson used 16 players in the win in front of a crowd of 1,500 at Oriel Park.

The hosts took the lead through Richard Towell in the 18th minute, but the Reds equalised just three minutes later through Tomasz Cywka's curling free-kick.

Barnsley's quality began to show from then on and the visitors took the lead when Rose turned found the net with a low shot.

Loanee Brek Shea put the match beyond doubt after the hour mark, scoring with his first touch after coming on as a substitute.

Dale Jennings wrapped up a comfortable victory for the Reds with a well-taken effort in added time.

New signing Nick Proschwitz - who joined Barnsley on Friday from Hull City - remained an unused substitute in Dundalk.
