BARNSLEY Football Club have issued goodwill gestures for fans who were left disappointed after travelling down to Charlton.

Fans made the long journey south but were forced to make a return trip after officials postponed the Championship clash just two hours before kick-off.

Tickets for the postponed match will remain valid for the rearranged fixture. The date will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Refunds are also available, via the same method of payment for match tickets purchased, issued upon return of tickets to the box office at Oakwell.

Despite the postponement of the match, which was completely beyond Barnsley FC's control, the club also offered goodwill gestures to those who had pre-purchased their tickets.

These are outlined below:

- One free match ticket to the Reds' home fixture against Blackpool on January 18.

- Free ticket of equivalent status (one concession Charlton ticket = one concession Blackpool ticket) available upon production of Charlton ticket at the box office at Oakwell up until 2pm on matchday.

Nice to see, although all the blame was on Charlton. Nice to see a club looking after their fans.

Charlton should have points deducted for failing to carry out the proper procedures
