Have they used the "it's because they have shut pits down and there is no jobs" excuse yet?

So basically they can steal a car worth thousands and be released on bail to probably receive a suspended sentence. What a wonderful country we live in!!

How do...no! Read it again. Theft FROM motor vehicles!!! Not theft OF motor vehicles. So they probably stole items worth a couple of hundred pounds (if that) which does not warrant them to be remanded in prison at the expense of the tax payer!!

We are all aware that we should not leave belongings in our own cars for Christ sake and we wonder why insurance companies won't pay out! We should take responsibility for our valuables too! My Mum always told me to keep my hand on my ha-penny :-D
