Royal Visit Confirmed For Barnsley
Friday January 6 2012
PRINCE Charles will be having a tour of Barnsley this month - and will even be stopping in to visit the We Are Barnsley office.
The Prince Of Wales will be visiting on January 24, where he will meet Dickie Bird at his statue next to St Mary's Church and later he will be visiting University Campus Barnsley.
He will also be shown around Wentworth Castle Gardens, the Barnsley Chronicle - and We Are Barnsley - after Chronicle owner Sir Nicholas Hewitt kindly put us on the visit list. We hope to show him our work on social media and how we represent Barnsley on our Facebook wall and website.
It will be the first time Prince Charles has visited Barnsley.
