I was about to say oh no not another one. But when you think of people living in Birdwell, Tankersley and pilley well I say good on them. There is nowhere for them to go and get decent shop without travelling miles. I'm definitely for it and let's not forget that means more jobs :-)

Jojo, Mapp is quickly disappearing, as is most of Barnsley. Supermarkets are taking over and it stinks. Heard they were going to make The Kings Head a Asda or Tesco mini shop. First the supermarkets destroy pubs business by selling cheap booze, then they move in. We are becoming all too much like the US, this country doesnt know who it is anymore.

scott....you got 2 shops nr map village, old denby shirt and also one further on,the supermarkets did not kill the pubs, the government killed the pubs, due to greed, the tax on the beer and smoking ban,,everybody likes competiton,i also very sad in my village, pubs have been closed,

Just what Birdwell needs,as a resident we have nothing hardly in the village. What's it to do with people that don't live round here. Big thumbs up

Well i don't know about families getting bargins, harf the stuff they sell is cheap and tasteless and the special buys are that cheap they rather break or dont work to begin with
