Crisis Meeting For Reds

Friday September 20 2013

David Flitcroft David Flitcroft

THE Reds will hold on a crisis meeting on Monday to help halt the club’s misfiring start to the season.

"We have a board meeting on Monday and it will be a case of where we're at and what do we think we need," said manager David Flitcroft.

"Certainly some strategical recruitment in areas is needed now. We don't have enough points on the board and the balance is still not what I'm happy with.

"Even though the players have given us everything - the last three games have showed the players have given everything they've got - we have not amassed points from the last two games, which is disappointing.

"You have to do something about it and that’s what we will do, really fire the competition up."

"Crisis Meeting For Reds" where on earth did that and which member of BFC has made that comment??????

I have never read a bigger load of Bull from a news desk. Never in a million years would a Barnsley FC Manager or a Board Member say we having a crisis meeting seven games into the season.

We have a massive game against Watford tomorrow. If by any chance the person that wrote this piece of news can show me that this "statement came from THE MANAGER or any BOARD member I for one will show my Ar*e on theTown Hall steps.

if this is true then every BFC supporter should stay at home until BFC make a statement they have a team that is confident to compete in the championship and we can save our Money till then.

I'm off I'm meeting Elvis in Tesco to go shopping.

Sack yet another manager then what?? Another short term look at what has been a challenging start. Give him time. No short term strategy has ever produced long term, sustained success. They will get it right. 7 games is no acid test. Keep believing and it will happen.

Some things will never ever change...........
Barnsley have always had the most FICKLE fans in the league. What true Oakwell fans-which are unfortunatley very few- say "i will be a red until the day i die", the baiters, hecklers etc which unfortunatley are very very many- say " i will be a "Fickle red until the day i die"!

I am a fan of David Flitcroft as well but when you see we have shipped 22 goals in 8 games and that's not including the cup games, it begs the question does he motivate the side, you can tell he has a lot of passion for the sport and for Barnsley Football Club but i'm not convinced it has transferred to the players, of the games i've been to, the players seem to be just going through the motions. It could also be that their isn't enough competition for places.

Crisis meeting. The clowns that run the show at Oakwell these days will no doubt be discussing what the menu should be in the boardroom, when what they should be doing is saying cheerio to Flitcroft and all his baggage.

Yes we have a problem so lets sack the manager cause thats worked so well for us in the past lol idiots...it takes time to build a team what you think a new manager is going to have a good squad in his pocket...sucsess dont happen overnight its hasnt for any top club...you people expect instant results...what when new manager loses 7 on trot i know sack him get someone else....you need to get a grip

McCourt looked good, Etuhu seems back to standard.
Perkins needs dropping, fine he will annoy opponents, he will never take a shot and spends too much time yelping at players rather than doing anything. RNL needs to start. Wiseman needs giving away to a non league team, we should offer them some bibs and cones too to try and sweeten the deal?
The players he picks aren't good enough, there are players waiting to come in - change things around.

Pederson/O'Grady should be good, maybe need a third forward though. Looks like Cywka pushing to start. McCourt looks Good, Jennings apparently should be good.

Nyatanga will be back soon. Crainie is brill. Drop Perks, Drop Wiseman (from a height).
