Police Arrest Man After Armed Robbery

THE police arrested a man on suspicion of robbery and grievous bodily harm after an armed robbery.

They were called at 7am on June 2 to reports of an armed robbery at the Co-op on Barnsley Road, Darfield.

John Joseph Hastie, 37-year-old from Wombwell was arrested and he appeared at Barnsley Magistrates' Court a day later.

He has been remanded in custody.

Lock him up n throw away the key.People in retail should not av to put up with all the shit that gets thrown at them its as if just because we are there we can just take it all and not respond.. i know this is differant and.not relevent in this instance but unfortunatly the customer is not always right

@keith you can not be serious.The Communities and people in there work place need protecting from the vile crime.

This is not about a few bob or a few quid being stolen.This is about people and individuals that will be scared and there lives possibly destroyed by your mates action.
