Final Home Game Of The Season Could Prove Vital

TOMORROW sees Barnsley Football Club play their last home game of the season.

The Reds, who are in 23rd position in the Championship's table, welcome Yorkshire rivals Hull City to Oakwell, and they too have lots to play for.

In stark contrast to the Reds' precarious position, Steve Bruce's Hull are just a win away from a return to the Premier League.

Wolves and Peterborough are Barnsley's nearest rivals in the fight for survival - and they're all on 51 points with just two games to go.

Barnsley's inferior goal difference could see them needing a final-day miracle if results go against them on Saturday, though. If their two nearest challengers both win and Barnsley fail to do so, the Reds' chances would take a huge blow.

While the Reds entertain Hull City, Wolves are at home to Burnley. Meanwhile, Peterborough face a tough trip to Crystal Palace.

Huddersfield Town - just three points above Barnsley - could ensure their survival with a win at already-relegated Bristol City.

“The fans are seeing that the players are giving it everything,” said David Flitcroft, who's already made a huge change to the way Barnsley play.

“There’s an honesty to the way they go about their business, and the way the fans have supported us has been magnificent."

Two wins should see the Reds escape. What do you think to their chances? Have your say below.
