Little Girl Finally Allowed To Play Outside Thanks To Children's Charity

Friday March 15 2013

LITTLE Annie Mansell is all smiles - because she finally has a safe and secure garden she can play in.

Annie is one of only 100 girls in the world to suffer from a genetic condition called Tetrosomy X which limits her physical development.

It gives the 4-year-old serious balance problems so despite her love of being in the garden of her Wombwell home, it was full of potential danger.

Children's charity WellChild stepped in to transform the garden, so now there's artificial grass, a soft play area, rubber flooring and specialised equipment for Annie and Ruby, her older sister, to enjoy.

"We could never ever have achieved a garden like the one she has now," said mum Rachel. "It's perfect for her and she's not stopped smiling since she first stepped outside."

WellChild came and did my daughter garden in 2009/2010. They made a nice soft play area for her, decking ramp to garden and relayed the turf. They fantastic charity

This is my family. We can't thank Wellchild and the volunteers at TCL tankers. This has already made a huge difference to us.

I meant that we can't thank them ENOUGH! The work is fantastic!
