Six-Year-Old Raises Cash To Treat Kids At Hospital
Monday March 4 2013
A SIX-YEAR-OLD girl has bought books and toys for Barnsley Hospital's children's ward, after raising £107 by singing at a church party.
Macey-Leigh Bennett, of Wombwell, presented to gifts on Wednesday.
She showed her talent for singing at a Christmas party at Wombwell Spiritualist Church in December to raise money for a good cause.
Her singing was so good that she raised £107, and she selflessly decided to use the money to buy items for children to use at the hospital.
Julie Winfield, president of the church, said: “We know the children's ward at the hospital does fantastic work and the children there will really benefit from Macey-Leigh's donation.”
