THOUSANDS of football fans paid tribute to Hoyland teenager Ashley Banks on Tuesday after he was found hanged in his bedroom earlier this month.
We reported that former Reds player Bruce Dyer was backing the family's campaign for a minute's applause.
A moving minute's applause was held on the 14th minute of the game against Wolves with fans from the Midlands club also paying their respects for the 14-year-old.
Ashley was found by family at his home on February 2.
Fan-favourite Bruce Dyer attended Ashley's funeral at St Peter's Church, Hoyland, last Friday and a signed shirt has also been given to the family from Barnsley player Bobby Hassell.
