Vandals Trash Kids Wendy House
Monday January 14 2013
VANDALS have trashed a community nursery Wendy house that was funded by a charity - twice in two days.
Staff at the Priory Family Centre in Lundwood said the Wendy House was paid for by donations - the vandals trashed it one night, then returned the day after and broke the toys and little chairs the children sit on when they play inside.
Carole Aldam, is the service co-ordinator at the service for vulnerable families which is run by the charity Barnardo's, said: “What kind of people would want to attack us and particularly something that children play with?
"Everything we do here it to help families who don't have a lot themselves.
"Yet these callous vandals showed no thought, no consideration, what they did was simply heartless and has left a lot of people very disappointed and very angry."
