Volunteers Clear Up Trans Pennine Trail

A GROUP of volunteers have pitched in to clear a section of the Trans Pennine Trail at Ardsley which had become overgrown with brambles.
Barnsley Council’s Rights of Way Team and The Conservation Volunteers from Wakefield pitched in to clear the overgrown section of a bridleway which had become to thick to pass.
They used hand-tools to clear a pathway through from the old brickworks to the bridge over Doncaster Road at Stairfoot roundabout.
