Motorcyclist Injured In Accident

A MOTORCYCLIST was injured after a crash on Huddersfield Road.

The accident happened at about 6.40am on December 4 and involved a silver Beeline Veloce GT motorbike and a blue Fiat Punto.

The motorcyclist, 47, from Lundwood, was left with serious injuries after the collision.

It is thought he was travelling along Huddersfield Road towards Wakefield when the crash happened.

He was treated at Barnsley Hospital for a broken wrist and a cut to his head.

The driver of the Punto, a 57-year-old woman from the Barnsley area, was not injured.

Anyone with witnessed this incident, or the manner of driving of the vehicles prior to the incident, should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 133 of 4 December 2012
