BUILDINGS owned by Barnsley Council - which include the controversial Wombwell Swimming Baths - were sold off this week at auction.

Lots that went under the hammer included: 15 High Street, Wombwell - Sold for £95,000; 15a High Street - £137,000, Former Markets, Wombwell -£72,000; 156 Sheffield Road - £30,000; 158 Sheffield Road -£32,000;
Garage Site Wilson Avenue Penistone - £35,000; Garage Site St Austell Drive, Barugh Green - £4,000 and
Wombwell Baths which sold for £81,000

The former Sandhill Primary School site, Great Houghton is still available for sale

A council spokesman said: "Further sites and buildings will be offered for sale either by auction or informal tender as part of the on-going Asset Disposal and Investment Programme over the coming months."

where do we find the list of sites coming up for auction and when they are to be auctioned?

Type your comment here.you will normally find a website on the for sale/auction sign posted outside the building/or plot of land for sale,most of these buildings/plots come under (mark jenkinson.co.uk) u will find all the information their.auctions are normally at bramall lane once a month.hope this helps
