Grant Offered For Barnsley Job Seekers

Thursday December 6 2012

GRANTS are being offered for people with mental health problems who are looking to get into work.

Barnsley Council and Rotherham and Barnsley Mind, the mental health charity based at Arcadia House on Market Street, have introduced a mental health employment grant.

The grants will be awarded to people to pay for one-off practical assistance and support to help them get a job.

Steve Kirk, CEO of Rotherham and Barnsley Mind, said: “Many individuals with mental health issues are ready, willing and able to work, we are delighted to be able to assist people from Barnsley to make the life changing step into employment in a way which supports recovery and independent living.”

More information on claiming the grants can be found here: 01226 211188 or www.rbmind.co.uk
