Free Bike Parking Offered

Monday November 19 2012

A SCHEME that offers free bike parking to local groups is open to new applications.

The ParkThatBike scheme offers bike stands to local businesses, charities, surgeries, pubs, cafés, shops, and offices in a bid to encourage greener transport.

Already, Mapplewell and Staincross Village Hall and the Hoyland Common Scout Hut has had them installed.

Peter Andrews, from ParkThatBike, said: "I'm very pleased that so many people are taking up the offer of free cycle parking and I've been amazed at the diversity of applicants.”

Apply on-line via the ParkThatBike website www.ParkThatBike.info or phone 01594 564 344 and ask for a paper copy of the application form.
