A TOWN centre salon which only opened earlier this year has appointed a new member of staff.

Emma James, 24, of Monk Bretton joined Saks as a senior stylist

The Saks salon is owned by local lad Tom Paskell, 21, who was the youngest person ever in the UK to be awarded a prestigious franchise by the hair company.

The salon now employs five people.

What this particular news is saying to people is that people can set up there own business or franchise business and give opportunities to other people by employing them. It is good to read as it does show people can be successful. So I would like to say this is a good piece of news/article.

Yes it is news, Barry. It's good news which is pretty rare these days especially when it's about a business doing well.
